Vanagon Roof Cargo Box with Luggage Rack Mount

The top of the line heavy-duty Pelican 1720 rifle case fits very nicely in the Vanagon Westfalia luggage rack. When the case is closed, a sealing o-ring around the “tongue and groove” lip creates a watertight, dust-proof interior. It also includes an automatic purge valve for quick equalization after changes in atmospheric pressure and heavy-duty, dual-stage lockable latches.
Please note, mounting this case requires our GW designed and fabricated locking steel strap, sold separately. It keeps the box securely in place and acts as a theft deterrent.

Unfortunately, this cargo box does NOT fit in the EuroVan luggage rack.

Note: Keep in mind though that even watertight containers will “sweat” in the sun, so do not put sensitive electronics, priceless rare books, or anything you cannot stand the chance of getting damp.
