Vanagon A/C Evaporator Housing Bracing Plates

Description

The air conditioning evaporator housing, located at the rear of 7-passenger vans, commonly develops cracks over time. In some cases, the plastic around the mounting bolts can break off entirely, causing the the air condition system to come crashing down from the roof!

These GoWesty-designed stainless steel reinforcement plates strengthen the evaporator housing mounts by distributing the weight of the evaporator housing over a larger area than the stock mounting provisions. Preemptively reinforce your intact evaporator housing or use these reinforcement plates to repair a cracked and broken housing.

Kit Includes:
• Pair of stainless steel reinforcement plates.
• Hardware, and a set of bolt caps.

Fitment Note

There are two styles of evaporator housing mounts- early and late. The early style was used in 1985-1987, and the late style was used in 1987-1991.

The two designs overlapped during production, so compare your evaporator housing to the additional images above to determine which bracket you need.
