South African-Style Mud Flaps for Volkswagen Vanagon

Description

The original German OEM mud flaps are frequently unavailable. Luckily, we’ve got some Genuine Volkswagen of South Africa mud flaps that look really nice. These hard plastic mud flaps fit great, but they do require drilling to install, and sit in a different position to the original soft rubber German flaps. Please read the PDF instructions tab, and the fit notes tab for detailed information. Front flaps have black VW emblems, rear flaps have white VW emblems.
Each mudflap kit includes:
• Pair of flaps (front or rear) – Please select front or rear in the drop-down menu.
• Installation hardware
• Detailed instructions
Not recommended for extremely cold climates. Freezing temps can cause these hard plastic flaps to become brittle, and crack if they are hit with road debris.

Fit Notes

If you’ve got a Vanagon full camper, you probably had the German soft rubber mudflaps. These South African ones are going to fit great, but they don’t mount into the original grommet holes. You’ll need to drill new holes in the inside edge of the wheel arch. This isn’t as hard as it sounds. See our PDF instructions more info.

Pro tip: At our shop, we fill the old mudflap holes with a small black grommet. If you’d like to do the same (and you probably will), you’ll need to order two (2) grommets per wheel arch. Click here to order.
