Description
The Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tyres are dual compound tyres that can achieve a maximum lean angle of 51.2 degrees. This tyre was named ‘tyre of the year’ by Motorcycle News, and the winner of comparison tests in Moto Revue (France) and Motorrad (Germany) in 2006 so it needs no introductions. Now it has been superseded twice it has become very good value for money. It’s an excellent match for today’s race-ready sportbikes.
The was a first-generation dual-compound performance tyre with an intermediate compound in the centre of the tread for durability, and a softer compound on the shoulders for cornering grip. Rubber compounds developed through Moto GP racing require minimal warm up time. Rubber mix remains tacky even at low temperatures. The grooved area is less than 12% of the motorcycle tyre area for phenomenal cornering adhesion.
