If you have previously upgraded your original 24mm waterboxer oil pump with a high-volume 30mm pump from GoWesty, you can further improve the system with our Super Seal pump cover.
Fits: All 1983-91 Vanagon Waterboxer

Traditional oil pump covers are somewhat flimsy and not terribly flat. They do the job but have a tendency to leak. Our upgraded design features a thicker cover material that is hardened, flat-ground, and zinc-plated for a perfectly smooth and durable finish. This is exactly what you need to help keep your engine oil where it belongs: inside your engine! To prevent interference from the adjacent water pipe, we have counterbored the plate and included four 10.9 Grade low-profile socket head bolts. Additionally, new O-ring grooves (for our DuroGreen O-rings) have been incorporated to enhance thread sealing alongside the traditional crush washers.
Pro tip: On our rebuilds, we don’t use any of the gaskets that come in the box with the pump. Between the engine block and pump housing we use sealing compound.
