At long last, the poorly designed, slotted OEM oil relief plug is finally dead!
This GoWesty-designed plug replaces the original slotted oil pressure relief plug in your Bus or Vanagon with a 19mm external hex plug, which allows for easy removal of the plug. Large flat-blade screwdrivers had an awful tendency to slip sideways out of the slot in the original plug. If you’ve ever serviced the stock plug, you’ve probably wanted to hurl it into the distance. Well, now you can. Get rid of that thing in favor of a much smarter design.
The GoWesty plug also features a 1/8″ NPT port, so you can easily add a temperature sender to keep an eye on the temperature of your engine oil.
