Description
Back when we restored late-model Vanagons, we added this simple circuit as a reliability-enhancing feature to every GoWesty van we sold. It is simple, and it works!
Every bit of power that keeps your 1986–1991 Vanagon running flows through the fuse box. Specifically, circuit #15.
Over time, the connections between the wiring harness plugs and the fuse box degrade. When they do, you can end up with an infuriating intermittent stalling issue that’s often misdiagnosed as a failing engine management component. That misdiagnosis can trigger a long and expensive parts-replacement spiral.
This simple kit creates a redundant circuit that completely bypasses the aging fuse box connection. The result? When you turn the key, your van is far more likely to start, run properly, and keep running.
Simple solution. Major peace of mind.
