Tired of messing with those funky seat belts in your Bus? Because the 68-79 VW Buses were not classified as “passenger cars,” they were not required to have retracting belts (“passenger cars” were required to have these beginning in 1973). These vehicles were fitted with a funky ’60s vintage, uncomfortable, and inconvenient three point non-retracting seat belt.
Our seat belt kit cures all that. The installation only takes a few minutes, and the new system provides a safe, comfortable, and convenient three point retracting seat belt. Don’t confuse our kit with the cheaper, inferior Brazilian or Taiwanese seat belts (that often don’t fit well). GoWesty utilizes complete, Made In The USA components that are custom-tailored for the 1968-79 VW Bus driver and passenger front seats.. Sold each. Two needed per vehicle.

Fit note: Does not fit vehicles with 1/3-2/3 bench seats.
Important installation note: There is an orange plastic clip on the seat belt reel. DO NOT REMOVE until the belt in fully installed.
